The aim of the project was to reveal the root cause of the sargassum crisis by designing a campaign in support of the struggle against the deforestation of the Amazon rainforest. This was done by selling paintings as souvenirs on a tourist market in Curaçao. The proceeds of the Golden Tide campaign were donated to Amazon Watch, an environmental organization that supports indigenous communities in their fight against the deforestation of the Amazon rainforest. All 24 paintings were sold for 50 Euro each. A total of 1200 Euro ($1318) was donated.
